Haines Junction is situated at the intersection of the Haines Road and the Alaska Highway and lies within the traditional territory of the Champagne and Aishihik First Nations, Southern Tutchone people. Located on the doorstep of the Kluane National Park and Reserve, a World Heritage Site the region is known for its spectacular views and exceptional outdoor experiences. The community promotes an environment that protects natural resources, supports economic opportunity and respects cultural diversity.

Reporting to the Department Head, School of Community Education & Development (SCED), this position works as a member of a diverse team to develop, promote, deliver and evaluate programs/courses that support the education and training goals of their home community and Yukon College.

Applicants should have an undergraduate degree, in a related field, combined with experience in:  coordinating programs and people in a cross-cultural environment, community development, adult basic education instruction, and working with First Nations organizations, agencies and governments.

Candidates with an acceptable combination of education and experience may also be considered.
