University of Regina (U of R) in partnership with Yukon College and the Yukon Native Teacher’s Education Program (YNTEP) is looking for qualified person, on a casual/sessional basis, to teach the following course:

EIOE 215 - First Nations' Outdoor Education: Part I  -- The course will focus on outdoor education theory, and how to use it to enhance classroom teaching and to foster a healing environment. Students will learn activities and methods for teaching Aboriginal cultural customs and environmental studies for academic, personal, social and cultural growth.

EIOE 225 - First Nations' Outdoor Education: Part II  -- The course will continue the focus on outdoor education theory, and how to use it to enhance classroom teaching and to foster a healing environment. Students will learn activities and methods for teaching Aboriginal cultural customs and environmental studies for academic, personal, social and cultural growth.

The ideal candidate will have a Master’s degree in a relevant discipline, and previous experience instructing adults in a post-secondary education environment. A combination of related education and experience will also be considered.
