Reporting to the Department Head of Trades, Technology & Mining, this position is primarily responsible to instruct the Welding Pre-Apprenticeship and Apprenticeship programs.  This program provides opportunities for employment entry, further education/training and/or professional and personal development in the Welding Industry. Duties will include conducting both theoretical & practical lessons through classroom and/or distance learning technologies, curriculum development, and student advising.  The incumbent may also be required to teach related subjects in the Welding field and some Continuing Education courses.

The ideal candidate will be hold a Red Seal Journeyperson Certification in Welding, First Aid, and WHMIS certification and significant relevant teaching experience. Consideration will be given to candidates with the appropriate blend of education and experience.  Willingness to travel to the Communities is required.
