Are you interested in inspiring young people to discover their potential? Yukon College is looking for five (5) enthusiastic Summer Camp Coordinators who enjoy working with youth ages 5-15 in both an indoor & outdoor experiential setting, who share strong facilitation skills, diverse life experiences and a genuine interest in the personal growth and development of young people.
Reporting to the Manager, Summer Camp Programs, the Camp Coordinators will work together in creative teams of two to coordinate and deliver enriching weeklong camps in the areas of Science, Trades, Technology & Munchkins, in Whitehorse and the communities. The Coordinator will provide a safe, quality camp experience in an active setting.
Job Requirements: Post-secondary students in the following disciplines: Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Education, Computer science and/or candidates with teaching experience and previous experience in the trades/ construction industry. Candidates with an acceptable combination of education, training and
experience may also be considered.
A criminal record check will be required upon hire. A valid Yukon driver’s license and Standard First Aid/CPR-C certification will be considered assets.
