This position is responsible for planning, organizing and coordinating case management support for the Tr’ondek Hwech’in Farm School. Duties are undertaken by working one-on-one with students to achieve individual student success on a personal achievement level, utilizing a variety of effective resources including but not limited to internal and external agencies. Working in a cooperative team environment the duties include: coordinating student personal success action measures, monitoring individualized student learning, engaging in student advising, and liaising with instructors with the goal of achieving student success. The position requires non-traditional hours including weekends and evenings in an unconventional Farm School environment.
The ideal candidate will have a post-secondary degree preferably at the graduate level with experience in case management, developing and coordinating educational/training programs at the adult basic education level, and experience working with outside organizations and agencies, including First Nation governments. A valid driver’s license is also required.
Candidates with an acceptable combination of education, training and experience may also be considered.
