Yukon College is looking for a qualified community focused candidate to work closely within a team environment to teach courses on a casual basis for the Tr’ondek Hwech’in Farm School program in Dawson and Yukon College in the following areas:

  • Integraged Pest Management (IPM)
  • Animal Husbandry
  • Growing Market Vegetables 
  • Raising Poultry for Eggs
  • Growing Root Crops  
  • Raising Poultry for Meat
  • Forage and Grain Crops  
  • Raising Rabbits
  • Small Fruit (Berry) Production 
  • Keeping Bees
  • Greenhouse Growing  
  • Mushroom Identification and Use
  • FoodSafe/MarketSafe  
  • Transplanting Wild Plants
  • Canning and Preserving  
  • Traditional Medicine
  • Harvesting and Storage  
  • Traditional Plant Identification and Use
  • Marketing Farm Products 
  • Legacy Project
  • Managing a Market Stand 
  • Raising Pigs
  • Seed Saving
  • Fencing Solutions

Successful candidates will have an undergraduate degree in the relevant subject area. If you have the relevant education and are excited about teaching in a postsecondary setting, we want to hear from you. 

Candidates with an acceptable combination of education, training and experience may also be considered.
