Yukon College is looking for a qualified community focused candidate to work closely within a team environment to teach courses on a casual basis for the Tr’ondek Hwech’in Farm School program in Dawson and Yukon College in the following areas:

  • Deliver essential skills instruction and facilitate activities that measure individual student success through task completion
  • Individual or small group research project design, data collection and final analysis
  • Individual or small group legacy project design and completion
  • Expand knowledge and skills presented by content expert guests
  • Prepare products for market, design, set up and run a weekly market stand.  Coordinate on-farm sales and pick-up/delivery
  • Plan and manage community outreach events such as participation at Moosehide Gathering and Discovery Day Parade

Successful candidates will have an undergraduate degree in the relevant subject area. If you have the relevant education and are excited about teaching in a postsecondary setting, we want to hear from you. 

Candidates with an acceptable combination of education, training and experience may also be considered.
