WO 027 - Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) and Data Communications Systems - Introduction

This 2 day course introduces the participants to SCADA control systems (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) and how they are used in modern industry.
Starting off with the basic building blocks, the course covers the fundamentals of process control, including PLCs, analog and digital control, and instruments. From there, students learn about the communications systems that form the backbone of SCADA. Finally, various SCADA architectures are examined and how they are applied to different industries.
This course is especially recommended for water & wastewater operators and is relevant to health professionals, supervisors, technicians and homeowners involved and/or interested in water quality and displacement.
