Holistic nursing care (developmental, psychological, sociocultural and spiritual) and nursing skills are emphasized within the framework of the nursing process; preparing graduates for the health care environment with a unique body of knowledge combining both arts and science. The content of this course will provide a strong foundation for the provision of activities of daily living. Key theory and lab elements will blend together to ensure a safe environment for the client, family and practical nurse.

Focus is on the reflective nursing process as it is applied to general areas of nursing practice. The nursing process addresses factors like diversity, honesty, accountability, confidentiality, and respect; all of which are present in the healthcare environment.
