HHCO 306 - Nursing Foundations 3

The third of three nursing foundations courses, HHC0306 builds upon the outcome skills of HHC0305 Nursing Foundations 2. Learners are challenged by increasingly complex nursing interventions which are in turn applied in varied pedagogical clinical situations where learners need to address issues like pathophysiology, pharmacology, and mathematical nursing calculations. In addition, scenarios demand that learners focus on client teaching within the nursing process and formulate their therapeutic rationale within the Practical Nursing Program’s Conceptual Framework; preparing graduates for the health care environment with a unique body of knowledge, combining both arts and science. The sequence of the course parallels learners’ second clinical experience.
