RENR 465 - Northern Exposures Field School

This course will engage students in the B.Sc. ENCS program from Edmonton and from the Yukon to explore the natural and cultural history of the Yukon, discuss environmental, social and economic challenges in this region, and identify ecologically and culturally appropriate research and management approaches for northern systems.

There are three offerings of RENR 465 field school per year: Summer (late August), Fall (November), and Winter (February). Each course is three credits and includes a 7-12 day field portion, readings and other material to be completed prior to the field portion, and papers or other assignments to be completed afterwards.

Prerequisite: 3rd year university standing and registration in the B.Sc. in Environmental and Conservation Sciences program.
