SW 346 - Social Work Practice 1

An introductory examination of the principles, concepts and skills related to social work intervention with individuals, families, groups and communities. This course emphasizes a general systems approach to social work practice, providing a framework for generalist intervention.

SW 346 is a required course for all students in the BSW program. It is a prerequisite course for SW 347 (Practice II) and for SW 348 and SW 448 (Social Work Practicum I & II).

PREREQUISITES: SW 200, SW 390 or permission of instructor.
