The Yukon Native Teacher Education After Degree program offers students who already have an undergraduate degree* a pathway into the 3rd and 4th years of the Bachelor of Education - Yukon Native Teacher Education program (YNTEP). YNTEP delivers educational excellence with a northern specialization. Students gain the skills needed to teach with a Northern focus, with a curriculum built on a foundation of respect for the values and lessons of First Nations’ historical and cultural experiences.

Graduates qualify for both Saskatchewan and Yukon Teacher Certification and are eligible for teacher certification throughout Canada. Students gain the knowledge and skills to develop units of instruction, plan lessons incorporating best practices of instruction within a cross-cultural and diverse classroom, and learn a wide variety of teaching strategies to meet the needs of all learners.

*Undergraduate degrees must be approved for this program.
