Research and Innovation for the North

Yukon Research Centre is solving northern problems with northern expertise.

We are here to answer northern research questionssupport and advance local innovation, and help to increase student capacity to conduct research throughout the institution and the North.

Our thematic areas include, but are not limited to: climate change, cold climate innovation, natural science, social science, and technology innovation.

These areas are supported through our YRC research associates and six key programs:

We work in partnership with government, industry, entrepreneurs, First Nations, and communities to improve the lives of Northerners. Our in-house experts, connections across the circumpolar north, and student involvement allow us to answer your research questions and meet your innovation needs. Our door is open to all Yukoners.
