Native Northwest Reconciliation Award

The company’s lifelong relationship with each artist is built on a foundation of respect and authenticity, ensuring that each artist is honoured and able to tell the stories of their communities and cultures through their distinct designs.

Eligibility

  • Be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident or protected person
  • Be of Indigenous ancestry
  • Be registered as a full-time or part-time student in a Yukon University program
  • Share how this award will support your educational journey related to one or more of the following topics: Wellness, Learning and/or Culture
    • You may choose a creative medium to share your thoughts (eg., photography, drawing, video, podcast, zine, comic/graphic novel, storytelling, creative non-fiction, poetry, spoken word, written word, music/song, dance, animation, beading, carving, painting, etc.).
    • Your artistic creation should be accompanied by a short statement (2-3 paragraphs) describing how the piece responds to the suggested topics. The creative submission can be submitted in the form of an audio, video, jpg or pdf file, accompanied by a pdf of the explanatory paragraphs.
