ALES 204 - Professional Communication

This course covers the principles of scientific and technical communication. Students will learn how to read and write a scientific paper, conduct literature searches, prepare a scientific talk, prepare a research poster, and other applications of various styles of professional reporting in natural resource conservation and management. Ethical issues related to scientific communication and scientific integrity will be discussed.

Registration restricted to students in the B.Sc. in Environmental and Conservation Sciences program. This course is also available as COMM 204 - non-B.Sc. ENCS students interested in taking ALES 204 should instead register in COMM 204.
