EIOE 215 - First Nations' Outdoor Education: Part I

The course will focus on outdoor education theory and how to use it to enhance classroom teaching and to foster a healing environement. Students will learn activities and methods for teaching Aboriginal cultural customs and environmental studies for academic, personal, social and cultural growth.

YUKON CONTEXT
Yukon First Nation perspectives, knowledge and experience will be incorporated throughout this course as a means to build firm foundations in the practice and rationale of land-based education ‘classrooms’.
