CARP 122 - Carpentry and Workplace Theory

This course covers core concepts and theory for residential construction. Students will learn about important materials and tools in the carpentry trade, as well as concepts including forces and loads and fundamental building science. Building techniques for foundation systems, floors, walls, and roof framing are also covered as students build the theoretical foundation necessary to complete their individual and group projects in Shop Projects and Practical Experience. (Requires 70% grade to pass and challenge Level 1)
