We can help you achieve your educational goals. A lack of financial support can be a barrier. Yukon College and our donors understand the value of an education. That's why we offer several financial awards to help support your educational and living costs. There are three types of awards:
Scholarship: A scholarship is given in recognition of academic excellence.
Bursary: A bursary is given based on demonstrated financial need.
Award: An award is a general category that may include a number of criteria such as community contributions, leadership, extra-curricular activities, academic achievement or financial need, among others.

How to apply
To apply for any award or for multiple awards, there is a single application and waiver. Students will complete ONE application and waiver, identify the awards to which they are applying, and submit any additional application materials separately.

Stantec Scholarship: $1,000

Stantec is pleased to support Yukon College’s first made-in-the-Yukon degree and post graduate certificate. As such, we would like to provide a $1,000 award to a Yukon College student enrolled part or full-time in the First Nations Governance and Public Administration program (the precursor to the degree), the degree in Indigenous governance (currently in approval stages, anticipated 2017-18 launch), or the post-graduate certificate in Climate Change Policy (fall 2017 launch).
• be Canadian citizens or permanent residents;
• be registered part or full-time in First Nations Governance and Public Administration, the Indigenous governance degree (currently in approval stages), or the post-graduate certificate in Climate Change Policy;
• be registered for a minimum of two courses in one academic semester;
• demonstrate the ability to provide leadership or academic excellence through either a GPA of 3.0 ('B' average) in your most recent year of college or university studies, or a letter of reference from your employer addressing your ability to provide leadership in your area of study;
• demonstrate financial need.
